Pilmico Shrug

I started the shrug from the book Knit 2 Together,  last week, and since we had to drive upstate (6 hour trip) I knitted 9 1/2″.  I’m happy with the way the stitch is looking and have 24 1/2″ to go.  Although I’ve read on Raverly that it’s a bit long so I will measure as I go.    I love this yarn it’s my new favorite, Universal Yarn LP.  I used the Chunky to knit the prayer shawl and this is the WW, it’s a dream to knit with and has wonderful stitch definition.

On another front we looked at some property in upper Florida that my husband owns, lots of trees, brush and not much to look at but the possibilties had us excited.  We are planning (God willing) to leave the city and head that way in a couple of years, the hubby thinks we can get a prefab home and clear some of the land out for a steel garage and YES a weaving/knitting studio for moi, being a city kid and having lived through a few hurricanes, I’m a bit apprehensive about a prefab, but there’s time for that and I’m sure we can figure it out.  We’ve been having a lot of positive feed back on our business venture and are really happy that all the hard work will pay off!

Whew!! it’s been forevaaaaaarrr since my last posts, wow a lot of fun, tiring and interesting stuff going on.  I’ve been knitting since we’ve been traveling all over the state of Florida doing festivals with our new business.    I have FO’s and UFO’s to choke a horse, but hey that’s what this blog is about.  So let me show off  you what I’ve been up to lately.

This is a Prayer Shawl for a co-worker’s wife that has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  I just heard she is doing well after her first Chemo session, her name is Cathy and if there are any prayer warrior’s out there, please offer up a prayer for healing on her behalf.

My model is Sexy Susan, my acrylic cutout of the bod I once had LOL..Another futile attempt at Lace, this one’s on time out, I forgot the lifeline, duh, guess what happened?  yeah it’s being frogged as I type.

Yet another washcloth, love this pattern and it was easy.

And finally the Cable Lux Tunic, this one is been fun, but the pattern is frustrating.

Okay, now I’m exhausted, LOL..  but I’m having so much fun!

It’s been awhile since I blogged, and that seems to be a recurring theme in both blogs.  My hubby and I started a new business and it’s sucking the life outta me.  Work during the day and then at nite, uggggh!  But we’re working hard and we’ll see what comes of it.  The most exciting news is that we have a website that goes live this weekend, I can’t wait it’s been a long road and I’m glad we’re done with that.  If your interested in taking a peek at Aroma Coffee Express just click the link.
